Hello, hello!
It's sketch day over at PWCO - here's this week's sketch for you:
I absolutely took some liberties with this sketch - like how I made a 4.25 square card! The layer with the rounded corners is also much smaller on my card, and I opted for a PTI Double-Ended Banner diecut instead of the straight layer strip! Want to see? Of course you do!
I stamped Gordie the Giraffe in Aqua Mist ink, and added a PTI sentiment to turn this into a sweet little baby card. I think this is a good stash card that could easily be used for a baby boy, or in the case of a 'not-so-pink-and-frilly' baby girl!
Hope y'all are having a great week - make sure to pop over to PWCO & play along with our sketches or recipe challenges; not only do you have all month to play along, but if you play along with at least 2, you are entered to win 2 stamps of your choice, OR the current month's PaperCard Kit!

2Cute's Mermaid & Friends Meets Deconstructed Sketches!
Good Friday Morning, Friends!
It's workshop day over here today - some of the younger girls in town are coming over this afternoon to work on a couple of birthday cards! (I *might* be a little excited...lol) What are you all up to today?
I threw this card together late last night... I had already picked the papers and coloured the image, but then the girls & I decided to go for an adventure before I could finish the card. After the turkeys were in bed, I pulled out the Deconstructed Sketch #11, and the card went together in under 5 minutes! (Gotta love it when that happens!!)
These papers from Basic Grey's Green At Heart line reminded me of seaweed and possibly a little sea garden, so I ran with it... why not, right? :0)
Anyway, here's my card:
As I usually do, I've left the banner blank, waiting for the perfect sentiment when the time comes! I find it much easier to actually use my cards after they're made if I do that, because then they'll always say the 'right' thing!
Have a great day - and don't forget, there's a NEW Rachelle Anne Miller release happening at PWCO tomorrow!!!!

PWCO SS#90!
It's sketch time at PaperWorks Co again! You can see the sketch here! <--Click!
Here's my take on it:
A little bit of Echo Park's Sweet Summertime paper, a couple of buttons, half a leftover PTI die-cut & a little PTI sentiment and PWCO's Zoe the Swimmer = simple, cute & fun!
Zoe was coloured using Copics (stunner..lol) and, even though you can't tell in the photo, I added Glossy Accents to her floaties, goggles, snorkel & flippers. That stripe-y paper totally reminded me of a beach towel!
So how is your day going, anyway? If you've got some free time (between now and July 31), make sure to head over to the PWCO Blog & check out the challenges - if you enter at least two of them by the end of the month, and use PWCO Stamps (or even the FREE DIGI), you'll be entered to win your choice of TWO PWCO RUBBER STAMPS OR July's PaperCard Kit! You can't really go wrong with that, now can you?!
That's it from me today... have yourself a great one!

Year-End Teacher & Classmate Gifts!
Hey there!
I'm finally getting around to posting the gifts I made for Emily's teachers/school staff & classmates at the end of this school year... so here goes!
I made these notecard sets for the female teachers/staff - 8 sets of 4 cards, to be exact! Each set contained two teal and two pink cards, since I really have no idea who likes what...and that way, I figured I had all the bases covered! (lol)
I broke out some gorgeous Linen textured cardstock for the bases, which really added a nice, subtle touch of interest.... and then I packaged them up like so in some clear card boxes!
For the male teachers (who both happen to be Phys. Ed. teachers), I packaged up some Hershey's Nuggets in a little kraft bag, and embellished with a basketball theme - definitely quick & easy!
And finally, the froggy bookmarks I made for Em's classmates - they're super fun, since they're magnetic!
And taaa-daaa... school gifts were done for this year!

PWCO SS#89
Just a quickie post today - it's Sketch Time over at PWCO again, and here's my take on it this week:
I broke out the Matilda paper pad again; I'm sort of in love with using it for non-Halloween cards for some reason. I paper-pieced Lucas the Lion, punched a 2" circle, added some star embellies that were coloured with a Copic to match, and die cut a Double-Ended Banner, then stamped with the Safari Friends Sentiment set. Taaaa-Daa. Done.
Make sure you play along with us over at PWCO for your shot at winning your choice of this month's PaperCard Kit OR 2 PWCO Rubber Stamps!

2Cute's New Challenge - "Bling It Up!"
Right... so you read the challenge? "Bling It Up"... totally my specialty! Better get some shades on before you scroll down, though... 'cause this baby is BLINGIN'!
I found this really great glitter paper in Michael's (their Recollections brand) - and I absolutely love it! It's quite a bit thinner than the DCWV or DoodleBug glitter papers, which make it a dream to cut (without dulling the crap out of your cutter blades!) - and I picked a few packages up for about $2.75 each; I imagine that'll be substantially cheaper for my American friends, too!
Anyway, I used that, as well as some glitter brads, and this awesome bling trim (that started out life clear - and that came from the Dollar Store!) - and there's some Stickles on the cherry & the penguin's collar, too! That delicious pleated ribbon is something I picked up at my LSS back in April - I really didn't have a choice, as it practically jumped off the shelf begging me to take it home with me; this is the first time I've used it - and I didn't even cry when I cut into it! (LOL!) And the funky black layer under that? Oh, that's just a little shelf liner! I had cut a bunch of it to size for it's intended purpose, and had a bunch of these scraps left over that I thought would look really great on a card.... turns out, I was right! (lol!)
Now... head on over to the 2Cute Rubber Stamps Blog, and play along by linking up your new super blingy creation! (Sometimes the challenge posts don't go up when they should; Blogger seems to hate the 2Cute Posts... so you may have to check back a little later!)
Later gators!

PSA Essentials Meets Helmar Adhesives Meets Moxie Fab World!
(How's that for a super long title?!)
Hi Friends!
I'm being a rebel here - just pretend you aren't seeing this card until next week sometime on the PSA Stamp Camp blog, ok?! (I had to get it up here in time to enter it in Moxie Fab World's Stamp It! Cards challenge!)
It's super simple, mostly because that 'gator seriously gives me the giggles, and I really wanted to focus on him... and the 'punny' sentiment! (And because it's already a goofy card, I figured I better add a googlie eye to the focal gator!)
Pretty sure you've got until Sunday, July 10 to enter Cath's challenge... Looks like I don't need to be a rebel after all; you've got until Wednesday, July 13 to enter Cath's challenge... be sure to head over to the Moxie Fab World & check it out!
Laters,
Steph!
Supplies:
PTI Vintage Cream Cardstock
PTI Ripe Avocado Ink
PSA Essentials 'Rocket' Stamp Set; Studio G Alpha Set
Helmar Adhesives 1/4" White Zap-Dots; Premium Craft Glue
Googlie Eye

TGF'S WOW Sketch #7!
Hiya!
How's everyone doing tonight? I just wanted to pop in here & enter this card in The Greeting Farm's WOW Challenge - this week, it's Sketch #7, and I think this is definitely going to be a go-to sketch for me in the future (particularly for male cards)!
I made this for my husband's nephew who just turned 4... Oliver resembles our Ty a lot, so this was perfect for his birthday card!
I used BasicGrey's Origins pad & PTI's Kraft cardstock. The image is coloured up with Copics & popped up for some extra dimension.... and then I added a trio of (super old) Rain Dots from my stash... and a sentiment from PTI's Fillable Frames Additions set. Taaa Daaa... called 'er done! I really loved how this sketch had so many layers that gave the card interest, without it being too 'frilly'... I thought all the squares were pretty 'manly'!
Anyway, hope y'all have a good night; we've got a sleep-over happening tonight, so I have to go remind a pair of 6-year-old girls that when the 2-year-old goes to bed, the music needs to be turned down!

PaperWorks Co - Sketch #88 - and a FREEBIE!
Hey y'all!
It's sketch time over at PWCO - and today is an exciting day! Not only is there a DIGI FREEBIE available for you to download, but there's also a pretty major hint at what the theme is for the images being released this month!!
Here's the sketch:
...and here's my take on it:
I opted to really simplify my card, in order to showcase this exquisite FREE frame digi image, designed by our bossy boss herself! You can pick yours up on the PWCO Blog today!
I added the inner rectangle frame with Corel PaintShop Pro, to mimick the layers in the sketch, then stamped 'love' and added 2 wooden hearts from my stash. I pierced two tiny holes for the twine to slip through, and just wrapped it completely around the card. This is probably one of the quickest cards I've ever created!
Have you guessed what the theme is for the upcoming Rachelle Anne Miller release at the end of this month yet?!
Happy guessing!

PWCO SS#87!
Hi friends! Ooops- it looks like I totally forgot to post this here on Wednesday!
This is PWCO's latest sketch - and you've got until July 31st to play along! In order to be eligible to win a prize (your choice of 2 PWCO Stamps OR July's PaperCard Kit), you need to play along with a minimum of 2 PWCO challenges per month - so you could do 2 sketches, 2 recipe challenges, or one of each even - AND you've got ALL MONTH to play along! No excuses now... head over to the PWCO Blog and get inspired!
Here's my take on the sketch:
It's a super quickie, but I'm sort of in love with the simplicity of it! That patterned paper is fun, too, because all the black stripes have a clear glaze on them - so it's a textural delight! (Totally reminds me of Glossy Accents, but it's part of the paper!) I used PWCO's "Zoie the Zebra", who is absolutely my favourite stamp to use on a quickie card - this was quite literally a 5 minute card, since Zoie was already stamped & coloured and sitting on my desk ready and waiting!
Make sure you head over to the PWCO Blog to check out the challenges that will be issued this month - and the inspiration from the PWCO Team - there's always something wild going on!
