2Cute's New Challenge - "Birthday for a Girl!"

Hey y'all!

Apparently I'm too easily distracted; I totally forgot to post my card to coincide with 2Cute's newest challenge, which was issued yesterday!  The new challenge is to create something for a Girl's Birthday!!

I used the 'Butterfly Bear' image from 2Cute, and coloured it up with Copics.  I then punched 3 pieces of PTI's Bitty Dots paper with the SU Scalloped Edge punch, tied on some Blossom Baker's Twine, added a Berry Sorbet button, and taaaadaaaaa!  A pretty little card for my daughter's birthday!  (She'll be 2 on the 29th!!)

Happy Wednesday, everyone - make sure you play along with the challenge at 2Cute - you don't HAVE to use a 2Cute image to play,... but if you do, the prize pot's bigger!

Laters!

Sweet Angels!

Hi there!

It's my Saturday over at PaperWorks Co - and it's a quickie post today!  (I went out for a much-needed girl's night last night... and am struggling to function at full capacity today! LOL!)

Used Rachelle Anne Miller's "Angelic Choir" stamp (exclusive to PWCO!) and PTI's Berry Sorbet, Summer Sunrise & Spring Moss cardstock, 2008/2009 Bitty Dots paper pad, and Berry Sorbet buttons & Twill!  Image is coloured with Copics (Gee, shocker, huh?!).

I also played along with the current Sketch Challenge at SCS (SC332)!

Happy Saturday!

2Cute Rubber Stamps....

Did you happen to notice the news over at 2Cute Rubber Stamps?  They've added a handful of new members to their design team... and I just so happen to be one of them!  (WOO HOOO!)  If you're not familiar with 2Cute, let's just say the images are... well, too cute!  Interesting note:  Heidi, owner & illustrator of 2Cute, also does some freelance work - and she just so happens to freelance for PaperWorks Co - so be prepared for cuteness overdoses in these parts. =)

Ready for my first 2Cute project?!  Sure you are... that's why you come here, isn't it?  (To see some crafty goodness!)

I used 2Cute's "Wedding Cake" for my image, although I don't think it looks particularly wedding-ish with the colour scheme.... but it's cute either way!  Just a heads-up - 2Cute also hosts their own bi-weekly challenge; you don't have to use 2Cute images to play along, but the prize potential is much sweeter if you do use them!

This card also qualifies for two other challenges, as well:

- Colour Q #84 - Daffodil Delight, Old Olive, Kraft, Not Quite Navy & White (or in my case, Lemon Tart, Ripe Avocado, Kraft, Enchanted Evening & White)

and

- Card Patterns Sketch #114

Thanks for stopping in; see you back here in the near future with some PWCO goodness!

'Debattista' Canvas

Dudes!

I'm totally stoked about how this canvas is progressing!

Lots of Gauche Alchemy goodies on here; parts from the Wholey Sheet Kit, a bunch of Ouchless Cardboard, and some various Mixed Media Colour Kits.

That's my mother's maiden name up there... and the feature is the tiny island of Malta; mom's parents & 3 older siblings immigrated to Canada sometime after WWII, and then my aunt & mom (the baby) were born here.

Yes, I know there's a huge open spot in the top left corner; I'm in the process of filling that in.  Plan A was to use a family photo of the 7 of them, but there isn't one to be found.  Plan B was to use two photos - one of my grandparents, plus one of the 5 siblings - again, that wasn't happening.  Plan C is to find 7 adult silhouettes & fill in each body with the appropriate person's given names, creating a text effect instead of just plain black silhouettes.... and that's what I'm working on now.

I'll be back...
