CAS 2: Day 10

Hi again!

Day 10's objective was to try the 'One Stamp, Three Ways' again... so here's what I came up with this time:

I went super simple on the first one, only popping up the main panel and adding the slightest bit of shading to the airplane.  To me, it sort of emphasizes the simplicity of the paper airplane in general, and how something so... seemingly average... can bring one hours of joy.

The next one is interactive.  It's a spinner card, so the heat embossed airplane (that is popped up on it's circle) actually spins across the wavy channel as you tip the card.  *Tip:  I used the PTI Spinners Die Collection to create the channel & the mounting base - if your image is too small to fit right over the circle base, try die-cutting a piece of coordinating/matching patterned paper to cover it first!*

Finally, card #3 has the airplanes stamped & heat embossed on a raised panel and the base has some Glimmer Mist & Mr Huey's to signify sky & to help the sentiment pop.

One more post for today - back soon!

  1. All three of your cards are darling. I love the spin card, I haven't tried one of those for a long time, and they are so darn fun. Did you use penny's to maike them roll along the channel?

    1. Hi Angel! No pennies were used - I went with the PTI Spinners dies, because it makes things SO much easier! You can find a video explanation of the process on Nichole Heady's blog here: http://nicholeheady.typepad.com/capture_the_moment/2012/01/5th-anniversary-day-10-movers-shakers-group-post.html

(It's the second video in this post!)

  2. Was in the CAS2 class and found your cards through the gallery. These are some of my favorite all time cards. Thanks for sharing!
